Faith Evangelical Free Church in Stanley is hosting “Hope and Help For The Home,” a family conference held at Stanley-Boyd High School that equips parents toward intentional and fruitful parenting. The Nov. 9 event aims to help parents navigate the challenging aspects of parenting, including technology use for children and teens, mental health, setting boundaries, connecting with your children, and navigating public education.
The main speaker of the event is Nathan Sutherland, co-founder of Flint and Iron. Sutherland, who taught middle school for eleven years, has a passion to help youth reach their full potential and help families connect with their use of technology. His main sessions will address ‘Tech’s Big Three’ and ‘Making Tech Safe at Home.’
Speakers for the conference also include Dana Parisi, an author and mom of four who is also a certified Parent and Family Coach and Educational Trainer and Brainspotting Practitioner whose mission is “to help families move from survive to thrive.” Parisi’s workshops include “Setting and Holding Boundaries with Love,” and “Supporting Kids with Anxiety.”
Some familiar faces will also be speaking at the event including, Chad and Emily Eichstadt, Faith Free Senior Pastor Matt Miklasz and his daughter Angela, Stanley-Boyd School teachers Sunny and Ryan Wundrow, who will help families successfully navigate in public education, Skylar Turek, and Stanley-Boyd School teacher Becky Eisenberger, a mom of four who will share how to be the parent that God has called you to be.
The cost for the event is $35 per family and includes snacks and lunch along with childcare for children through 5th grade if pre-registered. $30 early bird pricing is available through Oct. 12. For more information on the educational event or to register, contact Faith Evangelical Free Church at 715-644-2001, by email at office@faithfreestanley.org, or on their website at www.faithfreestanley.org.
