Competing at Bloomer and Osseo-Fairchild this past week, the girls varsity golf team saw mixed results.
Meeting Sept. 5 at Bloomer, the team saw the following scores:
Allie Goodman, 62
Vivian Morrow, 58
Chloe Isenberger, 71
Emily Brenner, 70
Sydney Gundlach, 65
Bella Goettl, 77
McKaila Simon, 67
Emily Kletsch, 76
At Oaseo-Fairchild Sept. 9, the scores were as follows:
Allie Goodman, 56,
Vivian Morrow, 66
Sydney Gundlach, 71
Chloe Isenberger, 74
Emily Brenner, 67
McKaila Simon, 64
Bella Goettl and Mallory Alger did not play the Osseo-Fairchild course.
Oriole Girls Golf Head Coach Devon Wenndt shared thoughts after the scores were tallied.
“A strange couple of events for us over the last week or so,” Wenndt said. “At first glance, the posted scores don’t seem very encouraging. Coach Gustafson and I have several positive takeaways, however, that we can absolutely build upon. I think the fact that we will be competing far more than practicing will actually be a benefit for us moving forward, and look forward to seeing the improvements that we’ve been working towards come to fruition.”
