Now with a 13-14 overall season record, the Oriole varsity spikers fell 3-1 to Fall Creek Thursday, Sept. 26 at Stanley-Boyd.
“Fall Creek was a very beatable team,” Orioles Varsity Volleyball Head Coach Karley Wiensch said. “We showed that in the 2nd set when we won 25-14. We just ran out of gas, and fell short of defending our home court.”
Following Fall Creek the Orioles headed to a volleyball quad at Colby Sept. 28, with mixed results. The Orioles fell to Arcadia 2-0, and Colby 2-1 while defeating Coulee Region Christian 2-0. As for individual player stats from the Fall Creek match, they are as follows:
Syleen Seichter: 2 kills, 3 digs
Bailey Sikora: 9 assists, 13 digs
Macie LaGrander: 2 kills
Ava Prahl: 14 digs, 1 ace, 2 kills
Kendall Sikora: 2 aces, 6 digs
Kelly Lew: 8 kills, 7 digs
Lauren Potaczek: 23 digs
The Orioles next compete against Regis Thursday Oct. 3 at home. Match start is 7:00 p.m.
