Contest winners to be announced at Stanley Rodeo in June

With summer events underway and the Stanley Rodeo following close on the heels of the June 7 Truck and Tractor Pull, the candidates for Miss Stanley, Jr. Miss, and Little Miss have been announced! Once crowned, Miss Stanley, Jr. Miss Stanley and Little Miss Stanley will represent the city at the Rodeo and throughout the next year. These are the candidates:

Miss Candidates
Betty Pelekaudas will be a Senior this fall. After High School she wants to move to Texas to attend college where she would like to be a movie director or a veterinarian. Her hobbies include going on walks, fishing, writing and babysitting. Her favorite part of living in Stanley is Chapman Park, especially the beautiful lake and the deer.

Caroline Johnson is entering her Junior year this fall. After High School she wants to get a degree in Education. She was elected Vice President for Student Council for the upcoming year. In the summertime she enjoys camping with her family, paddle boarding and bowling. The sense of community and how welcoming Stanley can be is her favorite part of living in Stanley

Emily Kletsch is entering 11th grade this fall. After high school she would like to go to college to become a Chiropractor. She enjoys participating in sports like track, basketball and archery. She is the VP for her FFA Chapter and an officer for the Career Association. Her favorite part of Stanley is how cool it is to meet new people and loves going to Chapman Park.

Jr. Miss Candidates
Khloe Moore will be a freshman this fall. She enjoys math because she likes working with numbers, she also enjoys her elective courses like Art, Gym and Spanish. Her favorite part about living in Stanley is being part of a small community and enjoying the rodeo as a family.

Kyrea Pelekaudas is going to be a sophomore this fall. Her hobbies include reading, drawing, taking care of plants and really enjoys doing different types of art like painting, coloring and digital art. Her favorite part of Stanley is the people. While living in Stanley she has met many good friends and her teachers are a source of constant inspiration for her.

Lillianna Gomz is going into the 8th grade, she is a member of a local Girl Scout Troop, she participates in community service with her troop. Her hobbies include Art, Reading and dressing up. Her favorite parts of Stanley are the many parks and visiting the library.

Little Miss Candidates
Israella (Ryea) Witt is 6 years old. Her hobbies include taking care of her chickens, playing outside on the monkey bars, swinging and digging in the sandbox with her brother and sister. She is a Cloverbud in 4H, just completed her first year of ballet and likes helping at SCA events.

Briella Pelekaudas is 7 years old. She enjoys dance, gymnastics and nice clothes. Her pets include a dog and a cat. When she grows up she wants to be a teacher and the subject that she enjoys the most in school is math.

Miss Stanley, Jr. Miss Stanley, and Little Miss Stanley will be chosen in a pageant Thursday June 13 at the Stanley Movie Theater. Doors open at 6 p.m. Pageant starts at 6:30 p.m.
