Less than ideal weather, with rain. That was the report from Colby May 7 as the Stanley-Boyd Track Team attended the Colby Invitational.
“Weather conditions again were not great,” Orioles head track coach Bob Seidl said “It started to rain two-thirds into the meet, The kids were not up for this meet and were off on times and distances.”
Nonetheless, there were exceptions.”
“The throwers in the shot and discus did well,” Seidl said. Henry Koch threw 44’0” in the shot and Syleen Seichter threw 92-11 in the discus.” Chase Sturm took second in the shot with a distance of 44-08.00.
Additionally, Ethan Ellis made a personal record in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 46.09, taking eighth, while Aydden Marten took fourth with a time of 44.67. Zach Haas ran his best time this year in the 3200 meter run with a time of 11:24.71.
The Orioles next compete Thursday, May 16 at Whitehall. Meet start is 4:00 p.m.
