RESCO Announces Opening of New Warehouse in Stanley, WI

Posted

Middleton, WI – Rural Electric Supply Cooperative (RESCO), a member-owned, not-for-profit electrical wholesaler and one of the Midwest’s largest full-line distributors of high-voltage electric utility products, is pleased to announce the official opening of its new warehouse at 1509 Pine St., Stanley, WI 54768.
RESCO celebrated the opening with a special ribbon-cutting celebration and open-house event yesterday.
Situated on 15 acres, the 40,000-square-foot location reflects RESCO’s commitment to providing its electric utility members and customers with exceptional service and reliable inventory, as well as quick response to weather-related and storm damage needs. The large plot also gives the cooperative the ability to expand its operations as needed.
“Quick and reliable access to the products we distribute is a major pillar of our cooperative’s mission,” says Matt Brandrup, president and CEO of RESCO. “And as our inventory continues to grow, so does our need for strategically-located warehouses throughout our 10-state service area.
“Our new Stanley warehouse further strengthens our distribution processes, enabling us to better serve our members and customers throughout the region.”
The new warehouse is now serving member cooperatives and municipal utilities in the northern and central portions of Wisconsin, as well as those located in eastern Minnesota and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. These areas were previously serviced by RESCO’s Middleton, WI, and Moorhead, MN, warehouses.
Other facility features include individual offices for future team members and a large training room that will double as space for RESCO member functions, training, events, and other uses.
RESCO broke ground on the site in late April 2023, with most of the construction of the building and surrounding outdoor infrastructure completed in late November 2023. RESCO member Clark Electric Cooperative in Greenwood, WI, provides electrical utility service to the site.
Among those attending yesterday’s event were representatives from several Wisconsin electric cooperatives/utilities; the site’s builder, Market & Johnson; the site’s designer, River Valley Architects; Chippewa Economic Development Corporation; and Clark County Economic Development Corporation and Tourism Bureau.
